Colorado Snowboard Blog 9/30/09

Welcome back everybody! Seing as it's still September for a few more hours everything is still not open, but I've got a funny vid for you to check out that hates on Lib Tech's Banana, a quick music update, and a storm report.
First of all I want to get to this vid in an effort to keep you planted in front of the computer for four more minutes so you get fat. I'll post it here after I watch it again. One of my friends on Facebook posted this and it had me rolling. I'll sum it up for you in case you don't want to watch it but I'm giving this one the high score for Facebook posts today. It's a re-subtitled scene from that Nazi movie that Tom Cruise was in so it's all in German so you'll be reading. Hitler has been challenged by Mussolini to a snowboard race on a glaceir. Hitler thinks he's got it in the bag because he just bought a Banana but then his officers inform him otherwise. The dialogue contains a lot of f-bombs so if your love child can read I'd send the little dude or chick out of the room. I still haven't had a chance to hesh out on a Banana but everybody that I've talked to about it that has is in love. I've never heard a bad word spoken about the Banana so this one caught me off guard. Like Hitler in this video I was under the assumption that the Banana is the new standard for snowboard companies to strive for. If anybody has any input on this issue please don't hesitate to comment back because I'd love to know, and I'm sure everybody that hasn't been able to get the loot together to score one would like to know as well.
As for the music scene, The Dethalbum II was released yesterday and you know that I hit the record store as soon as I got off work yesterday and picked it up. On a whole this is a darker Dethklok album than the first one, but then again it's all music from the show (season 2) which was a bit darker last season than the first. I am on board with this one. It's been over a year since Dethklok put an album out but it was worth the wait. Look at me, I'm talking like these animated metal-head stereotypes are an actual band. Wait a minute, my deluxe edition CD also came with a DVD of all the music videos from the tour last year that I went to. Are these guys a real band or what? If so that means that when cartoons are as epic as Metalocalypse the charachters become real and actually grow to the world's eighth-largest economy. Or am I just over-analyzing this? I'd better shoot off an email to my metaphysics professor. Yes, I still call music stores "record stores", I still listen to CD's but that's only because my iPod got stolen by a meth-head out of my car, and I did take metaphysics in college. I'm a little behind the times I suppose. Call me a dork if you want to, but don't call me a Ramp Local. This is how The Daggers roll. Just get this album if you're into metal and headbang along with Murmaider 2: The Water God. It's badass.
Oh yes, what would this blog be without a snow report? Just another blog? Well I don't have much this week but there's a cold front rolling through the great state of Colorado right now that is forecasted to hit the central mountains with 4-8" of snow tonight. That means Breck, Keystone, A-basin, and probably Loveland. I'll take it. Key's gotta get that base established so we can rock night sessions. The only thing is that it's gonna melt off in a couple of days. Ugh. The wait continues.
One more thing, I'm trying to score a Sweedish Vallhund puppy so if you know anybody that's got a litter in the oven let me know. If you have not heard of these dogs like most people then Google that shit. They're dope.
Until next time,
Shred Hard.
Dave Berry.
