Hi everybody! Now that the dust has settled on the Turkey Bowl and the Broncos FINALLY got another win, which was totally epic by the way, it's time to turn our heads away from all of those rad leftovers and get back to focusing on what really matters; snowboarding. I hit Winter Park today, well I guess it's technically yesterday now, and the conditions were still total crap, but there were more runs open for the turd of current snow conditions to be smeared across. It was a classic blue bird day so I was rocking it in my badass Element hoodie and Rome pipe gloves. To my suprise it really wasn't that crowded. I guess everybody was all tuckered out from going shopping at 5 AM to come up and ride, or they went to Keystone to scene it up. I do understand that some poor bastards had to work today (yesterday) so I forgive you. A man must be able to pay the rent no matter how crappy his job is. One thing I did notice about today (yesterday) was that people who ski in jeans were out in force. What the hell? I do not and will not ever understand such a thing. Yes, I do hate the scene but there is a line somewhere out there in the snow and on one side resides the typically smarter people who don't rock in jeans and on the other are the gapers. It was strange.

I got up with my esteemed roommate and our neighbor's friend who graciously let us rock up there in her Xterra with XM. Sadly-or not-I'm still not sure, we didn't get up there until the crack of 1 PM. It could have been 12:45 but we had to stop in Empire to get some beers to carry us over the pass. The old lady behind the counter didn't seem to appreciate my 2005 Slayer tour shirt too much despite the fact that I made it a point to be extremely polite to her. I guess Christians will never learn that Slayer is one of the greatest bands in the history of the world and that Jesus was nothing more than some hippie, if in fact he did exist which will never be proven.

When the sun rises I'm diving head-first into another Grand County hell ride. My friend with the pimp-ass condo in Frasier is celebrating her birthday this weekend and it seems that I'm in for another night of the old d-botch yet again. Sanchez has signed up for the mission along with two other dudes who I haven't heshed out with yet this season. We're taking a half-day tomorrow when we finally get up there and we'll ride through our hangovers on Sunday since there's no Broncos game on. That reminds me, whoever is playing San Diego this weekend is now my favorite team until next Sunday. Once again I'm expecting mad antics out of Sanchez and I'll report back everything that I can remember. Keep in mind, snowboarding isn't just a hobby; it's a lifestyle and I'm trying to encapsulate it in this blog.

If you don't know, the mighty metal band Vader is going to play in Denver next Friday (12/4) and if you miss this show you're a pussy. Slayer is hitting the road with Megadeth and Testament (no fucking joke) and will be destroying Denver on 1/25 (I think). Get tickets to both shows now. Ullr commands it.

The next blog will be much more entertaining.

Shred Hard.

Dave Berry.
