In my days of “riding”,  I found that strapping into something long and stiff was preferred.  With a unit like this,  you can run deeper into the virgin trails,  it also feels better with some bumps.  No matter what,  make sure you wax it good.  Some like using a stick that is “more limp” than the norm.  For some strange reason they believe that this helps in handling, when dealing with the sloppy obstacles.  This generation of rider is too worried about solo tricks done in his own time for his own benefit.  The limp malleable stick is good for “riding” with a wide stance down huge slopes of varying circumstances.  Ideally the seasoned rider looks for a flowing control that allows for perfected thrust variables in tight curving creases.  When it comes to handling the curves in the crease, the “rider” needs to understand that terrain can become wet and loose but they need to allow for a forced maneuver in any circumstance.  All in all,  I find to many “riders”  find themselves in a pitfall of erroneous tensions in which they have no way to pull out.
Any thoughts on this topic?

I totally agree with that shit.  When it comes down to “riding” it’s all about technique and equipment.  I use straight up solid gear as opposed to the average untested new shit.  The market is flowing with all kinds of gimmicky innovations but when it comes down to it, I grip my strong solid deck and exploit it, to work for me.  I ride multiple kinds of terrain and the equipment I use, has always been able to adapt to the transforming viscosity.  One minute I can be riding through some treacherous forest, fighting my way through bush and hammering the powder.  The next minute I can be thrusting into the wide open field with nothing in sight but the gleaming strands of new snow that seem to seep from crevices.  I notice that my board slides easily. At all times I just grind away.

I am also in total agreement here. It has proven far more beneficial to strap on a stiff one than a limp one. I like to enter from the rear and pound down at a hard angle, usually just feeling my way through the bush rather than observing it and picking a line.
